Pros:

Delight layering, slipping (at times) brass, vocal samples and wild digital effects underneath sweeping, cinematic synths

Bass lines are consistently emphasised and momentum-carrying

Deeply personal, intimate and heartfelt lyrics, evolving across various stories well

Cons:

Often disappointingly flat and plodding, possibly due to the generic and uninspired percussion

Spoken word delivery is suitable but reeks of missed melodic potential

Can meander in basic disco grooves at times, losing its key strengths in atmosphere and narrative when it does

Best: Late Arcades

Worst: The Carousel
