Pros:

Folk elements, in their influence on the instrumentation, melodies and vocal harmonies, are intriguing and give the album a unique asset

Melodies are catchy and soaring, creating wonderfully catchy choruses and some delightfully majestic hooks

Moments of lyrical storytelling are engrossing and entertaining

Cons:

Production is disappointingly flat and dry, undercutting the album's grand themes and moments

Similarly, performances lack the aggression and volatility to capture the spirit of thrash

Best: Substitutional World

Worst: Entering Eternity

7/10 A hidden gem of metal
