Pros:

An interesting and unique melding of genres, incorporating many electronic synths and more rock-oriented elements under the same roof

Lyrical content is often potent and empowering, shifting between moods of hope and despair well

Guitars, when allowed to shine, can be soulful and expressive

Cons:

A largely disconnected and jumbled package, awkwardly switching between disparate ideas, themes and sounds with a lack of connective tissue

Vocals, while diverse, are a constant source of irritation

Many more groove or lyric-oriented tracks are unbelievably simple, driving their monotonous melodies into the ground with repetition
