Pros:

Packed with a variety of excellent riffs and driving rhythms, using odd scales to stand out from the pack and uplift many tracks

Instrumental performances are brilliantly technical yet well-integrated, with the pounding percussion and mind-boggling lead guitar work shining brightest of all

Lyrical content is consistently intriguing and dark

Cons:

Vocal performances are often abrasive and discordant

Production is unfortunately muddy, weighed down by a needlessly thick guitar tone

Disappointingly inconsistent and toothless, with some tracks lacking the bite and huge hooks that define the band's sound

Best: Ember City

Worst: Diamond in the Witch House

6/10 Misstep from a giant
