Pros:

Lyrical and thematic content is lush, balancing a bleak outlook against romance exceptionally well

Indie rock writing and performances are very solid, exploring the full tonal range of the genre and pulling off both quiet piano and booming guitar passages well

Instrumental flourishes, including the ever-present orchestrations, elevate the entire package

Cons:

A bloated tracklist and repeated song structures leave some tracks feeling unmemorable and a bit 'lost in the shuffle'

Less inspired tracks feel quite derivative in the genre

Best: Wolves

Worst: Besides She Said

7/10 A confident debut
