Pros:

Jazz and soul instrumentation provide a delightful backdrop for the album's exploits, creating a jaunty yet soothing mood that persists throughout

Forays into hip-hop and sample-based dance music are incredibly quirky and enjoyable, bringing some tasteful grooves and uplifting imagery

Guest performances are varied and give many tracks unique stylings, with soul-inspired vocals and woodwind/brass performances standing out for their timbre and emotiveness

Cons:

Production can be somewhat sloppy, sporting a generally uneven mix that buries many vocal parts and some awkward sampling that spoils some grooves

Many tracks are easily forgotten due to a lack of memorable hooks and melodies as well as a reliance on some needlessly obvious influences

Best: ordinary joe

Worst: Light on the land

6/10 So close to stunning
