Pros:
Production is polished and clear, adapting well to a variety of timbres including metal instrumentation, digital effects and even throat singing
Some individual passages are wickedly effective, featuring some gorgeous jazz-infused guitar solos and many devilish melodic choices
Cons:
The majority of timbres feel disappointingly artificial and soulless, including string samples, bass recordings and drum sounds that all fail to impart any emotion or intensity
Vocals are particularly dreadful and self-congratulatory, ranging from awkward whispering to melodramatic falsetto to cringe-worthy crescendos
Feels very haphazardly and scattershot in its songwriting and arranging, throwing seemingly disconnected ideas together and regularly failing to pay off any tension
Best: Hide and Seek
Worst: Broken Divine
3/10 Even my mum didn't like it
