Pros:

Production holds up surprisingly well, sounding full and vibrant and bringing the best out of the various vocal and instrumental performances

Sustains a wonderfully laid back and comforting atmosphere throughout, using its funk influences to great effect

Instrumentation is excellent, layering in rich brass, string and woodwinds inclusions to bolster each track into these more grand compositions

Lead guitar playing is particularly expressive and unique

Cons:

Needlessly longwinded, stretching each track's simple grooves out for twice as long as is necessary which hurts the album's pacing and flow

Much of the album is very musically similar and repetitive, lacking any real surprises or left-field inclusions

Best: Baker Street

Worst: Mattie's Rag

6/10 High highs in a sea of... alright
