Pros:

Blend of metal subgenres is perfectly balanced and well-integrated, benefitting from the pounding and evil riffs of black metal as well as the epic and soaring melodies and hooks of power metal

Performances are consistently relentless and aggressive, whether it be the mix of brooding and soaring vocals, the thunderous percussion or the tasteful and expressive guitar solos

Production sounds full and satisfying, adapting well to a plethora of melodic timbres including choral vocals and even some brass

Cons:

Becomes a little monotonous and overblown by the end, resulting in some less interesting melodic moments and a couple of less well-constructed passages

The occasional heavy moment is brought down by some more melody-oriented mixing

Best: Voices in the Sky

Worst: Far from Home

8/10 Simply humongous
