Pros:
Movements are consistently engaging in their subtlety and complexity, impressing with a host of show-stopping piano passages and transitioning between moods and sections seamlessly and gracefully
Instrumental swells are textured, rich and thoroughly captivating, using a range of timbres from deft string accompaniments to, by the end, boisterous brass inclusions to draw the listener in
Emotional content ranges between quiet desolation, captious optimism and driving determination, capturing each mood with an incredible sense of passion and vulnerability
Cons:
Arguably lacks memorability, failing to score many key melodies or crescendos that stick to the listener afterwards
Could potentially have done more to accent some piano-centric moments with supplementary instrumentation
Best: 2. Adagio sostenuto
Worst: 3. Allegro scherzando
9/10 Actually made me tear up
