Pros:

Masterful lyricism perfectly balances soulful introspection with jovial escapism, creating an exciting and interesting atmosphere

Production and instrumentation are diverse, rich and forward-thinking, utilising brass and strings to suit a plethora of moods brilliantly

Despite the experimentation, sports frequent catchy and memorable hooks anyone can appreciate

Cons:

Lead vocals, while iconic, aren't the most polished or praise-worthy

Leaves so much room for further innovation and exploration that the album feels posthumously lacking and unsatisfactory as a whole

Best: Life on Mars?

Worst: Kooks

8/10 Shockingly popular
